Our Story
Defining the New Yorktown Standard
Common Grounds Cafe was founded by Christina Bucalo and the Palumbo family. Both Christina and the Palumbo family are Westchester/Putnam county natives and have grown up in the local school system. Today the same partners remain and have join forced with Eric Jacobus who over sees operations. We consider ourselves a scratch cafe + kitchen down to our sauces, marinades, pickled veggies, roasted veggies, and house made baked goods in the kitchen
By combining 15 years of roasting expertise with a trendy American scratch kitchen, we have transformed a brand new space in Jefferson Valley into a neighborhood gem. Today, we remain a founder-managed establishment, dedicated to the belief that luxury should be accessible and every guest should feel like a local.

Our commitment to a "Scratch Kitchen" means we reject the shortcuts of commercial dining in favor of authentic flavor. We take pride in sourcing our vibrant micro-greens and fresh dairy from local producers right here in our region, ensuring that every brunch staple supports our community.
While our food is rooted in local soil, our coffee is a global pursuit. We meticulously source our beans from Brazil ,Colombia & Ethiopia, choosing only the highest-grade crops that meet our exacting standards.
